December Party Wraps Up the Year
Because gardening news in Nova Scotia is scarce at this time of year, we’re closing out the 2012 blog with some photos taken at the Chester Garden Club’s annual Christmas party. The event also included a joint celebration of three birthdays, which were commemorated by a ceremonious cutting of a birthday cake by the birthday “boys”, using an antique sea captain’s sword.
In no particular order, here are members and guests enjoying the festive season at Chandler’s Cove Community Centre. Photos can be enlarged by clicking on the image.
While the revelers above were toasting fellow gardeners and their families with “Good friends, good food and good health in 2013”, your blogging team now adds its wish for peace and prosperity in communities across the country and around the globe. Happy New Year to all!
